My copy of Division has shipped! WOO HOO!

I'm one fic away from a Kink Bingo! WOO HOO!

The GazettE fanbrats are being fanbratty! D'OH!

Yes, it seems some copies of the album leaked online before the official release, and some fans decided to bombard Aoi with links to them on Twitter. *facepalm* Probably the same people who sent him links to yaoi about himself. Keep it up, fanthings, and you'll drive him clear off Twitter. Again.

Well, in more positive news, I'm going to try to finish my Bingo this weekend amidst the Division madness! A couple of questions that may or may not be related to the fic: Before they switched to romanji, did Ruki and Reita write their names in hirigana, or katakana? (I think it's katakana, but I'm not quite positive). Also, do either of those names have any particular meaning? (I remember seeing a translation where Ruki said he picked the name because it "sounds cute." Dork.) I do know that Uruha's name is a very elaborate kanji, and it means "beautiful."

I've done some advance scouting on how tags are used for posting a bingo, and it seems that you have to request an "author" tag for yourself if you've never posted before, and then do a kink tag for each square a fic was written for. Then you have to tag for fandoms, and they already have tags already set up for GazettE and Alice Nine.

And despite the fact that their "achievements" program is set up with fictional characters in Western media properties in mind, I'm going to put in for a "Bingo with chromatic characters," since I've seen writers of J-pop and K-pop fics doing it. (Can I just say how happy I am with how completely accepting Kink Bingo is of real-person fanfic, rather than treating us like we have cooties like some other parts of fandom?)

So, YAY for near-bingo! And YAY for Division on its way! Now, if we could only get an official start date for My Little Pony Season 3!

Aww Aoi and Twitter! He gets trolled so often...
Ruki wrote his name in katakana and it means rookie. Reita used to write in hiragana. (it is said to be elegant and cute and modern for girls names to write them in hiragana only) 8D

Thank you! Ha, that's funny that Reita technically has a girly name, especially when he considers himself so manry!

I feel bad for Aoi. Someone pointed out on another community that Ruki doesn't take nearly the crap from fans on Twitter that Aoi does.

A great day for fandom... I want to only be full of squee!

LOL Yeah, Ruki is such a dork! He used to write it in katakana, Reita in hiragana... And I haven't actually seen anywhere if Reita means anything. (And Aoi is a hollyhock! Awwww!)

Yep, you post with the links to your fics, be careful to add for each if there are content notes (as they call them instead of warnings) and if there are none of their required ones (underage, rape, non-con, and maybe something else), you have to add something like no content notes apply, and after that add your own if you want to. And at the bottom of your post, you can ask for an author tag. :)

It's so so easy to grab that chromatic characters achievement for us! :D Since all our boys are Japanese! It's automatic! *g* Not sure I'm going to be able to get any other achievements, though. I'm mainly aiming for a second card. And yes, it's really a nice thing that no one is at all look at us like weird icky people for writing RPF.

Thanks for the help! Yeah, I think there's no required content notes in anything I've written for Kink Bingo so far - the closest is Behind the Scarlet Door, which is roleplayed noncon, and that's not in the line for this bingo.

Yeah, I'm not aiming for other achievements, I just want the second card. And that's mainly to have more squares to play with when the amnesty challenges come along.

(If I use a square for a bingo, can I reuse it for a second bingo in another direction? Or is every square one-use-only?)

Reita is a girl name in Lapland and in some book which I can't remember the name of, it was the name of a sleigh dog. 8) Uruha's kanji again, could be read as Akira or Rei too, which gives the fandom more fuel to ship Reirei and Uruha, hurr durr~~ They were so meant to be it's not even funny anymore. XD

Aaaand apparently I missed the shitstorm. Thank Dog for the cock-blocking Atlantic, I get to go to sleep and miss the drama. :D

Ha, and someone else told me that Reita wrote his name in hirigana, which is considered a girly style! And he's supposedly so manry! XD

The shitstorm apparently went down mainly on Twitter and Facebook - neither of which I use. I found out the details via the GazettE community on Dreamwidth. (Seems Twitter and Facebook is where ALL the wank happens nowadays. When Alice Nine changed leaders earlier this year, T and F exploded with rumors that Shou had forced Nao out. The person who posted about the switch on LiveJournal congratulated the LJ community for being civil in comparison. Never thought I'd hear "LiveJournal" and "civil" in the same sentence!)

Reita has always written his name in hiragana, I doubt it has a real meaning but I have seen it written in kanji on the stage lineup leaflet they hang on wall at the backstage(it was in nlsb 39dayz). They have used the kanji for beautiful (rei, also the same kanji uruha uses for his name) and field (ta). However the boys laughed at it and said it was "misspelled". (Kai's name was written with the wrong kanji too, gazeboys couldn't even figure out how to read it lol.) So hiragana it is for Reita. As for Ruki, it is told that he chose that name after leaving his previous band with Uruha and Reita because it sounded like "rookie" and he was indeed a rookie at the visual kei scene at that time. If you examine his autograph closely, you will notice that he actually writes Rookie then scribbles all over it and draws crosses. But then again, he is also seen using kanji to write his name.「流鬼」 The first kanji means either "style of, method of..." or "exile" depending on how you read it (ru or ryuu). And the second one means "demon". Since it's pronounced 'ru'ki, it should mean something more or less "exiled demon". But, although unlikely, it might also mean "style of (a) demon".
I'm sorry I wrote too much. Hope it helps you.

Thank you! You didn't write too much, this is absolutely fascinating! The whole thing with Ruki's name possibly meaning "exiled demon" goes along with the fact that his family disowned him and threw him out, something that seems to have had a major effect on him. Also interesting that Reita was trying to write his name with Uruha's name kanji, given how close they are! Thanks for the info!

No problem. I'm glad it was helpful. I just want to make this clear; I don't know who prepares the leaflets they hang here and there at the backstage. Most probably it's the staff who misspelled Reita's name.
